Robert Frank

Originally from Switzerland, Robert Frank grew up in a wealthy Jewish family. Perhaps in an attempt to get away from the money and business oriented attitude of his relatives, he took up photography. Throughout his career he made several handmade books, had an exibit at the Museum of Modern Art, and travelled the world to take photographs. Though he became a freelance fashion photographer for Vogue, he has generated a negative attitude towards American capitalism that has begun to clearly show throughout his work.
