Three years ago I started working at a local family owned ice cream shop, Mountain Mist Custard. The first day my boss Jay had me make cone after cone and weigh them to make sure that I was able to discern the exact number of ounces of each cone just by feeling them. This is the scale that I used. Over the years it's been dropped quite a few times, and the abuse is starting to show. The top part has been repeatedly repaired with scotch tape so that the corners stay put. To most people, this scale would seem like an object in dire need of replacement, but to me it represents the roots of a fantastic summer job.
